Richard acts for clients throughout England and Wales mainly on a privately funded basis but he also continues to accept instructions in respect of legal aid work.  He has appeared on television in respect of his work and has had articles published.  He deals with a broad range of immigration matters and related judicial review work. He has a flourishing appellate and higher court workload and has conduct of cases in the Tribunal system, Administrative Court and Court of Appeal.  He has also had conduct of cases in the Supreme Court.  He has particular experience of dealing with detained clients, cases involving children and “cross-over” cases involving issues of family and criminal law.  

Richard has, in the course of his career, been involved in a number of high profile cases, both as solicitor with conduct and as an advocate. These cases include:
